OUT & ABOUT

Last weekend, we went to a Remote Control Airshow, just a few miles from our park. You can see Superstition Mountains in the background, and this beautiful old saguaro cactus in the parking lot.

Brian says-Lots of planes to see and watch while they fly.

Some, like the helicopter, are quite big,
and some, like the B52 bomber style plane, are HUGE.

A great event and fun to watch. Saw a couple of  "crash&burn" events too. It was really windy, which made for some tough flying. These guys are good.

Now, stepping back in time, this was how the Superstition Mountains looked four weeks ago.
Yes, that is snow!

Brians says- It occurred to me that we haven't posted an actual picture of the resort we're staying at. I took this today (Jan. 26) to give you an idea of where we;re staying. This is the entrance to our park. Very well groomed all the time, and spotless too.
Holly adds- palm trees are a standard in all the parks around here. In fact, if you see a cluster of them anywhere, you know there is a park there. OUR PARK has a great variety of trees, mostly eucalyptus. There are flowers and shrubs all over too. It really makes the place home-y.

We are officially two months into our stay here, with two months left to go.
Still seems a little unreal at times.

OUR OWN PRIVATE POOL, OR SO YOU'D THINK!

Brian writes: Went down to the pool today and as you can see, the place was PACKED! For the entire hour we were there, NOBODY else showed up!! Awesome!!

Finally getting some heat, and if you're in the snow and cold you'd have no sympathy, but honestly, we signed up for a warm weather winter. It's been a chilly few weeks. Hopefully, it will warm up and stay warm now.

Can't complain about the the sunsets though :)
